General Practice Trainee Incentive Scheme
On 27 May 2025, the Queensland Minister for Health announced the committed incentive funds for the 2025 Queensland GP Trainee Incentive payments.
The program will provide incentive funds of a one-off payment of $40,000 for eligible GP trainees commencing GP training in Queensland during the 2025 calendar year, in a primary care training facility.
The Queensland Government and the RACGP are still finalising the funding arrangements and GP trainee funding terms and conditions. As soon as this is in place the RACGP will be able to commence the process to provide the funds to eligible GP trainees.

This lovely family practice is owned and operated by Dr Chris Gill and Kerri Gill. They have been locals in the Whitsundays since 2011 and in 2018 started their plans to open a medical practice.
